Sometimes I think about putting a hit counter on my diary, to see exactly how many people read it.

But then I think if I actually find out, I'll be too afraid to write anything because I know people are listening.

It's better this way. I can pretend I'm spewing into the silent, uncaring void of the internets, but still get the odd note in feedback.
