Wow.

What a weekend.

Started off with a car accident. Tire blew, car spun out (it was front wheel drive), and crashed into the cement thingies one the sides of the road after doing at least three 360's.

As my mother put it, "Mike, I'm glad you were driving because I'm sure your military training came in quite handy."

It did.

Of course, he was swearing a blue streak as he was yanking on the steering wheel, but I guess that was part of his military training, eh?

He was really worried all weekend, worried about what my parents would say. He was prepared to empty his bank account to them to pay for a new car.

I think he felt so bad because the last thing my dad said was, "Don't crash my car!"

And it happened.

Jinxed us, I swear.

But it was all cool. I figured it would be. My parents are well off. Not rich, but well off, and it was an old 1986 Toyota tercel. Not some new fancy car.

Plus, they were just happy everyone was okay. All a bit banged up, but okay.

It was an interesting 18th birthday.

On the lighter side, though, now I can rent porno, make porno movies, and vote! Woohoo!

Still can't legally drink though...

Ah well. The porno'll tie me over for a year.
