Okay. Today has been good, sad, and rather infuriating.

I'll start at the beginning. The very beginning. Friday. When the event Golden Swan started. Actually, before that, me and Lady Magdelaine and her two kids (Conner and Francesca) drove by the RV salesplace and barked wildly at confused dogs. That was the beginning of all the fun.

Once there, we settled near Lady Rose's tent and Evangelina's tent. I had my own tent to set up, which I did, right next to Magdelaine's tent and in front of Cayote and his Lady Kalira's tent. Little one person tent. With a big blue cooler out the front. Pretty darn medieval, eh? (Actually, I eventually put the cooler 'round back.)

I was greeted by a good deal of shrieks and hiding of faces and comments about being naked. But I didn't mind. The sun was still up. I was warm enough. But I decided I better get some clothes on, so I did. Just a skirt and belted women's tunic. I think that's what I wore. It was comfortable, what ever it was. My escort and her children took a little longer getting clothed, but when they did, we all had a merry time in the Inn. That was fun, to say the least. Children went to bed pretty quickly, but I stayed up with the others. Hee. Drunken adults are amusing to watch.

Then I slept. I was cold. Very cold. So I went and slept in the feast hall nearly under the stove. I got two hours and twenty minutes of sleep. I was perky the next morning, and it wasn't just the morning chill, either.

The day consisted of...oh bloody heck. I don't remember what it consisted of anymore. Running around, avoiding people I didn't like who were trying to find me to give me cloven fruit (if someone gives another person a cloven fruit, aka an apple or orange or other round fruit with cloves in it, that person, if they accept the fruit, has to kiss the giver, or have their hand kissed). I was amused when Mook (who's male) gave Giovani (who's also male and I apologize for spelling his name wrong) a cloven fruit. That was entertaining. Of course, I'm also completely and utterly insane.

Yes, but the say was fun. It really was. Sword fighting. Rapier mostly. Not much heavy fighting. That was for Sunday. Sitting around in the Inn. Trading jewelry for stuff at the barter booth. That kinda stuff. Bought a belt knife, too. Keep it between my...well, down my shirt. And yes, it has a sheath. And yes, the sheath stays in place. Amusing, to say the least.

Night came, and with that, feasting. I had Troll Duty during the feast, so I had to run off to the Troll Booth (the gate) to tend it. I was /cold/. Fortunately I had Maclar and his sister who's name escapes me at the moment to keep me company and warm. The I went to bed. Yes, early.

The next morning...Slept like a log on fire, I say. Toasty warm and I didn't even wake up when he-who's-tent-I-was-in bumbled in in the wee hours of the morning, drunk as a skunk. The day consisted mostly of work. But I liked it. I didn't even get sunburned (yay! I'm still pasty white...or as the SCA folks call it, alabaster). I was waterbearer for a while. About four hours or so, until the fighting stopped. I liked that. Then I was recruited for serving duty for the putluck feast that night. Mmm. Good stuffs. I was on my feet at all times, but I had a good time.

Oh, but the singing was /heavenly/! Just heavenly. After the feast was over, people wandered to bed or to the Inn (or the Red Tiger's den, depending on how rowdy you were feeling), and me, Cat, a women who's name I can't remeber and a man who was flirting quite strongly sat around and sang songs from someone's songbook. Lovely tunes. Skye Boat, The Rose, Scarburough Faire, Rose Rose Rose, a few other rounds...The Rose was the best though. Three part harmony at least. I sung one of the harmony's. And it wasn't even intended, either. Just happened, but it sounded /wonderful/. That made my evening.

Then I went on a witch hunt with Mook, Essa and Esmerelda. Damn, that was fun. We found a witch (one of the little 14 year old boys that adored me utterly) and we burnt him. But not that bad. We didn't want to be too mean. So we just stuck him in the stocks for a while. Then just ran around and flaunted my stuff just to tease. And I teased well. Heeheehee...

I miss all my friends badly. I left this morning and it took about ten minutes to get out by truck because friends kept running along beside the vehicle to hug my through the window. *sniff* I'm so sad. I want to see them again. *cry*...

This is a good time to end this entry.
