It's Mike's birthday today, so I'm going to give him a call, though it still hurts.

Before I left from Christmas break, I was shoving some stuff in my closet and Mike's braid of hair that he gave me tumbled out and I burst into tears.

I don't really know why. It still hurts.

The fine curls at the top of the base from the nape of his neck brought me back for a few minutes, but then it was over.

It hurts right now, but years from now, I'll probably be glad I kept it.
